The Lockesley Hall is the largest room in the building, having in its theatre mode, a seating capacity of up to 300 people.

The raised stage is fully equipped with theatre style lighting and sound system, making it an ideal venue for local and visiting performing arts groups.

To aid viewing, the hall can be adapted to include raised seating for the rear eight rows, giving added visibility of the stage to the audience in the rearmost seats. The hall floor is permanently marked for badminton, but other various sporting activities have been catered for within the hall.

The hall is used on a regular / weekly basis for the martial arts training - Tai Kwando, (see the programme of activities).

Afternoon ‘Tea Dances' are held in the hall on a weekly basis, with Saturday evening dances on a monthly basis. Dance lessons are also held for beginners and intermediates.

The hall is available for private hire for such as Wedding Receptions, Dances, Socials, and Presentations etc.

For seminars and presentations the full use of the installed presentation equipment can be fully utilised. This includes a large drop down screen with its high power projector linked to a bespoke computer. Both hard wire and wireless control is available for this equipment, which is also capable of being connected and relayed to the theatre style sound system.
